Relying on legal ethics expert helps prove no “bad faith”

Today the Missouri Court of Appeals -- Eastern District reversed a sanction entered under the trial court's "inherent power" against a family law firm. The reversal resulted when the appellate court found no "bad faith" -- based in part upon the fact the firm had relied upon the advice of its legal ethics counsel, me (which is why I am not going to say  anything more about this case).
